The West Creston Fire Protection Society encourages all residents of West Creston to join. If you have any specific questions regarding the benefits of membership, please contact any of these elected officers of the Society.
The membership fee is a nominal $10 per person per year. These dues are collected to cover some of the operating expenses incurred throughout the year and to maintain an accurate listing of all members as required by the Society Act. It is important to note that both adults in a family unit can become members.
As a member you have voting rights within the Society. Your vote does help to shape the structure of the Society and sets it´s direction for the future.
One of the criteria for being eligible for grant funding, especially the Direct Access Grant, is to have a good membership base that provides a service to the community. Join today!
Remember that a small contribution on your part today, through membership, may help to save your property some day!
Fire fighting training is available to all members. As well as ongoing general hands-on training, the Society facilitates certified training. Any member wishing to obtain the S-100 Basic Fire Suppression certification may do so through the Society when the training is available. There is a tax-receipted cost to the member for this certification.
The S-100 course and upgrades are also available through the College of the Rockies, who also issue receipts for income tax purposes.
